Shot & Killed by Dock Brown who was also shot and killed by Absolum the same day.

An unknown Grave at the site: Son of H.C and M.S. Hopper??? Died 1883.

These graves are in the wooded area at left of road just South of Rutherford. There is about a 1/2 acre plot listed in cemetery books as "Hooper Cemetery"

Shot and killed by Dock Brown (his son)
This tombstone was stolen about 1969 from the gravesite.
Burial site is at Pine Knob, Kentucky
 

Here is the tombstone of James T. Hopper (Born June28,1806-Died Dec. 1, 1880) buried at Hopper cemetery, 4 miles
north and about 1/2 mile west of Clarence, Shelby Co., MO.
